Mission

At Woven Word StoryWorks, we create community-engaged theatre, storytelling, and song that brings people together to build stronger social connections and drive positive change. Based in Nova Scotia, we work alongside communities to amplify voices, share stories, and discover the collective power of creative expression.

values

  • Connection: We believe performing arts bring people together in powerful ways.
  • Community Leadership: We work alongside      communities rather than for them.
  • Collective Voice: We amplify stories and perspectives through shared artistic expression.
  • Collaboration: We create inclusive spaces where everyone's contribution matters.
  • Change: We believe communities have the power to address their own social challenges through creative connection.
