At Woven Word StoryWorks, we create community-engaged theatre, collective that brings people together to build stronger social connections and drive positive change. Based in Nova Scotia, we work alongside communities to amplify voices, share stories, and discover the collective power of creative expression.

Stephanie Nickerson is a Nova Scotia-based storyteller with more than 25 years of experience as a playwright, screenwriter, and editorial consultant. She won a Best New Play award for her play Stealing Freedom at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Stephanie holds a BA in Drama from Bishop's University and an MA in Text and Performance Studies from King's College, University of London and RADA.

Kristina Nicoll is a multidisciplinary theatre artist with a 40-year award-winning career spanning directing, dramaturgy, producing, and acting. With classical training and national and international experience, she blends artistic innovation with community engagement. Kristina has collaborated with Tarragon Theatre, Why Not Theatre, and National Arts Centre, championing projects exploring identity, resilience, and social justice.
